Soy Review – Soy Dream Chocolate Rocket Bar

Posted on December 10, 2018December 4, 2019

The Soy DreamChocolate Rocket Bar is one of those treats that will convince anyone that soy can be very, very good!

Oh, the sacrifices we make at SoyFood Kitchen, testing and trying out soy foods to bring you our reviews! This week we forced ourselves to try the Soy Dream Chocolate Rocket Bar. As we consumed this nondairy frozen treat rather quickly, we may have to force ourselves to sample another one to reach our final conclusions. For now, let us say that we were very, very pleased with this treat.

The Soy Dream Chocolate Rocket Bar, a nondairy frozen novelty treat from Imagine Foods, is frozen chocolate Soy Dream (on a stick) dipped in chocolate. At 220 calories and 12 grams fat (4 saturated) per bar, it is definitely a once in a while treat – but so worth it!

Soy Dream is a nondairy “ice cream” made by this company, and is very smooth and creamy, much more so than other nondairy “ice creams” we have tried. The chocolate flavor is very rich and the coating was also rich and smooth. Half a bar would actually satisfy any sweet tooth. There was not a beany aftertaste that you sometimes have with other soy nondairy treats – it was as sweet and smooth as some of the better dairy ice creams you can find. The Rocket Bar is also light and fluffy (taste, not fat grams), unlike other novelty treats that have a more heavy filling. Perhaps one of the best compliments I can give this product is that our 3 years old thoroughly enjoyed his portion – he ate every last drop without a word in between bites and has been asking for more ever since.

The bar costs approx. .99 cents, and also comes in Vanilla Soy Dream with the same chocolate coating. Imagine Foods has a variety of nondairy treats – including both Soy Dream and Rice Dream treats. We have tried both lines of products and do prefer Soy Dream. To read more about the products, please visit: Imagine Foods

***If you have severe milk allergies, please read about the trace amounts of milk that might be found in this novelty bar on the website above.
